Cabo de Sao Vicente. End of the world (at least the Europeans believed it to be in the middle ages).

Why Sao Vicente? St Vincent's body was believed to have washed ashore here in the 4th century.

It did feel like the end of the world at the end of the day... the picture doesn't do the omninosity of it any credit. The crashing waves, the cutting wind, the hopelessness...
