Actually, it occurs to me that I am not at all familiar with the man:
googled selected works: I recognize doll's house and peer gynt
when we dead awaken sounds vaguely familiar,

So JGB : abt reliance of r/s. There are 3 main chars, and 5 minor chars.
JGB, his wife gunhild and her sis ella
3 Characters.
I was impressed by the emotional dependency of Gunhild performed by Barbara Nuesse.
The nervousness was wonderfully accentuated.

Generally, the play was more abt content: one had to follow the emotional development
4 acts in 3 settings:
was cool that jgb's room "suppresses" that of gunhild... the stage was doubly tiered, with jgb's being elevated in and out of sight as the act requires.
In the street scene, with the falling snowflakes, there was this bizarre optical illusion as if the room was elongating (more like heightening).

Happy End was irritating.. I wonder. maybe I have become too morbid for happy ends.
