Paris Je t'aime

There are times when life calls out for a change
A transition, like, like the seasons
Our spring was, was wonderful
but summer is over now
We've missed out on our Auntumn
and now, all of a sudden, it's cold,
so cold everything, everything is freezing over...
Our love fell asleep, and the snow took it by surprise
But if you fall asleep in the snow, you don't feel death coming
Take care...

It's blissful not to feel.

the little things

a chink

a crack

a pinhole

a ripple

small things,
tiny things...
points of weakness

i had a crack on saturday
it happened on sat nite
i might've been able to stop it
i tried
i didn't recognise it when it happened
then it was too late

a crack
a chink
a ripple
a pinhole
a doorway...

i remained convinced i was fine
and it was just an over reaction
and sunday i was fine
i was kept busy
it was a glorious day

monday i felt it crumble
the brittle fragility of just frozen ice
the familarity
the hold
it's not gonna happen again
i refuse
i called and the stillness settled for a while
sleep takes it away too

and yet
all that was true in the past month
shattered without a thot in the very instant my ears recognise
my heart clenched
and i was wretched all over again

how can it be
ok
when
we're no longer
friends.

It's OK

perhaps it's those earth tremors or shifts in the plates (which everyone else have been feeling lately)... the change in fengshui?

but it's been rather blissfully peaceful lately.
and
i'm really really thankful and grateful for it.
surprisingly, it' something i've learnt to appreciate for its rarity.
almost like a return to childhood.
time whizzing by...
uneventful, mundane, quiet.

And u start to feel that it's ok.
It's ok that not everyone gets u;
or loves you (esp the way u want or need them to).
Or even want to remain frens with u...
It only hurts for that moment, and u let it float away.

It's enuff to have the pp who love u, who stay with u, and are your friends forever.

I feel shrouded in a fog of oblivion;
of peace and tranquility.
It may not even last past tonite but while coccooned in it - i am free.
Free and whole.
No voids to fill, no longing or want.

This is bliss.
I am no saint, but..
It is OK.

Look wat the wind blew

we learn things daily
itsy bitsy things
realise things about ourselves every moment...

the moment when u suddenly realise that u're bordering of on being curt to possi your E-math teacher... really really shocks u.
1stly -- she was your teacher!! So she can't such a bimbo or slacker u're judging her to be...
2ndly -- OMG -- how could she have asked those Qs!!! She was so prim and proper and Ms make-it-my-business-to-know-it-all-and-do-it-right!!! Could being a student make u a subject of blind worship!!!
So u learn...
1. Teachers shrink as u grow up
2. Teachers are not the gods u thot they were
3. Do not be so quick to judge others...
4. Ditto #3
It's the worst trait all adults pick up - more so in the service line or health line. It's the easiest thing in the world to play judge and deem someone an idiot or negligent when we jump to concusions too quickly without getting the whole story, or putting ourselves in their shoes for a sec 'cos we're just too stuck in ours. It's the bane of the job, and i'm a sinking quiksand.

So up to now - 5 years and counting... i've treated my pri sch teacher's cat, now my sec sch teacher's dog... who's it gonna be next. I'd better put on clearer glasses to ID them b4 opening my big fat judgemental mouth.

Das Leben der Anderen

Finally got down to watching an Oscar film from last year ... The life of the other (my translation, have no idea what the title is in english).

Lovely, beautiful film. While it is less dramatic than most other films (like Life is Beautiful, or italian films that I have watched), it has a certain subtelty that confers it beauty.

The story line is abt a stasi that is made to spy on a writer. It shows "high" society east germans during the ddr times. It seemed like life was not as deprived as I thought it would have been (perhaps, due to the high society factor?). Emotions were well played : Fear being one of the greatest emotion featured.

Will not elaborate more on the movie, because you should watch it, and I really dont want to spoil it for you. Much of the film can be perhaps better appreciated if one knows a little more about the DDR, esp i think it gives great insight.
